VOLUNTEERS IN ACTION – EVERYDAY HEROES 116h5w

On World Blood Donor Day (a date established by the WHO) several volunteers from New Acropolis ed the efforts of the Hospital de Clínicas de Montevideo in its Night Blood Donation Day.

Blood donation makes possible procedures in traffic accidents, surgical interventions, organ transplants, haemorrhages, treatment of cancer patients and many other pathologies.

Hundreds of people in Uruguay receive a blood transfusion every day. Most of these are from anonymous donors who, with their attitude, are making it possible to save other lives.
