Mother Earth Day

Our planet is a living organism, which is in a constant change; as Heraclitus of Ephesus said, “Panta rei” – everything moves or everything flows, nothing remains unchanged. 3l3t4c

During the event dedicated to Mother Earth Day, we approached these movements of the Earth from both a physical and philosophical point of view. We believe that in order to value and protect Mother Earth, we must know her, understand the laws that govern her and respect her cycles.

Mother Earth Day is an opportunity for us all to think about what we can do specifically to reduce our negative impact on the environment, to protect biodiversity and to preserve ecosystems.

A practical ecological activity dedicated to Mother Earth Day took place on Sunday, April 27, when a group of of the New Acropolis Bucharest came together to care for the iridarium in the Bucharest Botanical Garden. The collection includes numerous varieties of irises from the Iridaceae family that delight visitors with their great diversity of colors. An ancient Greek legend said that wherever the goddess Iris stepped, flowers appeared on the ground.

The activity reminded us that caring for nature also means reconnecting with our common responsibility: together, our actions can bring more balance and harmony to the world.
