A Weekend for Earth Day (Graz, Austria) 3t5a6n

Mother Earth Day

Around 40 guests gathered in the school of New Acropolis Graz for a special themed evening in honor of Earth Day. Under the motto “Learning from Nature – Philosophical Impulses for a Sustainable Future”, the connection between humanity, nature, and Practical Philosophy was brought to life. 3a2p71

Three inspiring short talks took participants on a journey—from the mysterious networks of fungi, to the ancient knowledge of South America with the “Three Sisters” (corn, squash, and beans), and finally to biodiversity as an expression of life’s creative richness. The discussion that followed was lively and open, centered around the question: What can philosophy contribute to the protection of our planet?

After the talks, the space transformed into a setting for togetherness and networking: a games night invited everyone to continue the evening with joy and a sense of community.

The next morning, participants adventured into the forest for a themed walk on the topic of Fungi with a professional — sharing knowledge that even ChatGPT can’t match.

It was an evening and a weekend that not only taught but created meaningful connections—with the Earth, with ourselves, and with one another.
